Okay, This is one of my takes on what the John Byrne Steel-Age Supergirl, (Kara Zor-El) would have looked like IF the DC PTB had the cajonés to bring her back after 'Return of Superman'...
The red bracelets are durable mini-computers with an uplink to Kelex and the Fortress computers. (Basically what a Kryptonian combination iPad/iPod/iPhone would be like.) THIS Kara came from the 'emotionless' Krypton that John Byrne first depicted back in 1986 in "Man of Steel'. As such, she's still more comfortable with computers than with people...Although Kon-El & Cassie Sandsmark are helping her in that regard...

P.S.: I may be revising this in the future when I get some other pics done, so let me know if there are any glaring deficiencies.

Yeah...
Kara would be arriving well after "Return of Superman'...this would give the events in the David 'Supergirl' series time to happen...
(We DON'T want the two spaceships colliding, I think...THAT would be bad!)
The way I wrote it, Kara was picked up by the JLA in their Watchtower on the moon. She meets the core JLA...including Kal, there. He later brings her to earth, and her exploration begins...
